7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Quaker Meetinghouse Santa Cruz
An awareness-raiser with Benjamin von Mendelssohn, co-leader of Tamera Healing Biotope 1 – a community-based model for regenerative living in rural Portugal.
Evening will include presentations and Q&A
To heal this planet and humanity, a radical and comprehensive SYSTEM CHANGE is needed. The Earth is crying out to our hearts for this change. And to make this shift, we have to develop alternative models for the core building blocks of society – both in terms of material resources, such as water, food and energy – but also within the very threads of the social fabric – such as love, sexuality, community and spirituality.
This special evening will provide complementary perspectives by a heartful and visionary thought leader of a new emerging culture: Benjamin Von Mendelssohn will reflect on pathways for moving from the paradigms that lead to the impoverishment of inner and outer structures — whether money, intimacy, water, biodiversity, time, beauty, or ecospheric integrity – toward a healed picture for life on earth based on the examples of Tamera’s concrete, autonomous, emerging models—Healing Biotopes and cultural innovations. Tamera will inspire us with a realistic and exhilarating sense of what is concretely possible – right now – for humanity to move into a new era on planet earth – rooted in peace, trust, and cooperation.
Together, we will uncover and refocus our vision, and connect to our new collective story – not just in words – but in the palpable sense that we are part of a new dream becoming manifest, through all of us.
Over the course of the evening, we will unfold a truly global perspective and ask for support for Terratopia – Tamera’s budding project to further develop this new model, to inform and benefit communities around the world.
